Everything you need to play CirrusRO. Set them up in the order below.
1. CirrusRO Full Client
The client is a full folder, not an installer. Just download it and extract the folder anywhere (for example, your Desktop). There's nothing to install. Inside the folder you'll find two programs:
- CirrusRO: this launches the game.
- CirrusRO Patcher: the patcher. The copy in the client folder is the old one, so replace it with the download in step 2.

Download won't start?
Google Drive caps how many times a file can be downloaded per day. If the main link says "download quota exceeded" or doesn't begin, use Mirror 2 or Mirror 3, they're identical copies of the same 3.7 GB client, so any one of them works.
2. CirrusRO Patcher (new)
Everyone needs this, including existing players. It replaces the old patcher that ships inside the client folder, and it is the only one that receives updates from August 21, 2026 onward. If you keep using the old one you will simply stop getting patches.
Put CirrusRO Patcher.exe into your CirrusRO folder, next to CirrusRO.exe, and replace the
existing file of the same name when Windows asks. That old file is the one being retired.
You can tell them apart by size: the new patcher is about 1 MB, the old one about 95 MB.
Then just run it. It updates your client on its own, PLAY starts the game, and Setup changes resolution and sound.
3. Visual C++ Redistributable
A required Windows runtime. Install this if the client won't launch.
4. dgVoodoo
A graphics wrapper for newer Windows PCs that run on integrated graphics (iGPU) only, with no dedicated graphics card (Intel or AMD). On those machines the game can show graphical glitches or fail to render, and dgVoodoo fixes it. If your PC has a dedicated GPU, you can skip this.
Once downloaded, extract dgVoodoo's files into your CirrusRO folder (the same folder as the game and patcher) so the wrapper loads with the client.
Setup order
Extract the Full Client folder → drop the new patcher into that folder → install the VC++ Redistributable → apply dgVoodoo only if you're on an integrated-graphics (iGPU) machine (or get graphical glitches). Then run the new patcher to update, and press PLAY. See Getting Started for account registration.
