Auto Events
Three events run automatically around the clock, one every 2 hours. There is no GM to wait for and nothing to sign up for: be in Prontera when one starts and join in. Every prize is paid in Cirrus Coins.
Which clock the server uses
The server runs on UTC, and that is what @servertime shows in game. Times below are
listed in UTC and GMT+8. If you are in neither, convert from the UTC column.
Daily schedule
An event runs every 2 hours, around the clock. Each of the three takes its turn, so the same event comes round every 6 hours. Nothing overlaps.
| Server (UTC) | GMT+8 | Event | Prize |
|---|---|---|---|
| 00:00 | 08:00 | Countdown | 75 coins |
| 02:00 | 10:00 | Roll the Dice | 100 coins |
| 04:00 | 12:00 | Disguise | 40 coins per round |
| 06:00 | 14:00 | Countdown | 75 coins |
| 08:00 | 16:00 | Roll the Dice | 100 coins |
| 10:00 | 18:00 | Disguise | 40 coins per round |
| 12:00 | 20:00 | Countdown | 75 coins |
| 14:00 | 22:00 | Roll the Dice | 100 coins |
| 16:00 | 00:00 | Disguise | 40 coins per round |
| 18:00 | 02:00 | Countdown | 75 coins |
| 20:00 | 04:00 | Roll the Dice | 100 coins |
| 22:00 | 06:00 | Disguise | 40 coins per round |
If you are not on GMT+8, work from the UTC column. @servertime in game shows the UTC clock.
An event is skipped if too few players are online when it is due. If you hear nothing at the scheduled time, that is why.
The daily event coin limit
- 150 Cirrus Coins per account per day, counted across all three events together.
- This is separate from your 600/day farming cap. Farming to cap does not stop you winning, and event wins do not eat into your farming.
- If a win would take you past 150, you receive the part that still fits, not nothing.
- The limit is per account, so alts share it.
- It resets at 16:00 UTC. That is midnight for GMT+8, but for everyone else it lands in the middle of your day, so your 150 can refresh partway through a session.
Coins land in your inventory and a message confirms the amount and your running daily total. If a win says the coins could not be delivered, you have either hit the 150 limit or your inventory is completely full.
Countdown
Countdown Keeper, Prontera 175,204. Prize 75 Cirrus Coins.
A nerve game. A counter runs from 200 down to 0 over twenty seconds. Click the NPC once. Whatever the counter reads at that instant is your score, and the player closest to zero wins.
How to play
- Wait for the starting announcement. The count begins immediately.
- Click the Countdown Keeper once, whenever you dare.
- The count is called out at 150, 100, 50, 25 and 10 so you have a rhythm to time against.
- When it reaches zero the closest call takes the prize.
What you need to know
- One call per account, per round. You cannot click again to improve your score, and a second character on the same account cannot enter the same round.
- You cannot be too late. The round closes at zero and a late click is simply rejected, so the only way to lose is to lose your nerve early.
- Scoring is by exact millisecond, not by the rounded number you see. Two players who both show "0" are still separated properly, so ties essentially never happen.
- Your score is shown back to you the moment you click.
Roll the Dice
Dice Caller, Prontera 156,222. Prize 100 Cirrus Coins. Needs 3 players.
High or low, last player standing. The NPC rolls one die each round and everyone who called the wrong side is out.
Calling is a CLICK, not chat
Every round you must click the Dice Caller and choose your side from the menu. Typing HIGH or LOW in chat does nothing at all and you will be eliminated for not calling. This catches people out because the Disguise event, one street away, works the opposite way.
How to play
- When the game is announced, click the Dice Caller within 60 seconds to join. A reminder is announced at the halfway mark telling you how many have joined and how many more are needed, so there is time to get there.
- Close the NPC window after joining. See the warning below, this one matters.
- Each round, click the Dice Caller again and pick LOW (1 2 3) or HIGH (4 5 6). You have 15 seconds.
- The die is rolled. Wrong side is out, and so is anyone who did not call at all.
- Repeat until one player is left. That player takes the 100 coins.
Close the NPC window or you cannot call
While any NPC dialog is still open on your screen, the game will not let you click the Dice Caller, and the click is ignored with no message. If you join and then leave the window sitting open, you will be unable to call and will be eliminated. Always close it and wait.
What you need to know
- One entry per account. Relogging or swapping characters will not get you a second seat.
- Not calling is the same as calling wrong. You are out either way.
- If a roll would eliminate everybody, nobody is eliminated and the die is simply rolled again. With only two sides this happens often, so it is normal and not a bug.
- The table holds up to 24 players, and a game runs at most 12 rounds.
Disguise
Masked Mimic, Prontera 136,204. Prize 40 Cirrus Coins per round, 5 rounds per game.
The NPC takes the shape of a monster. Be the first to say its name in chat and you take the round.
Answering is CHAT, not a click
You answer this one by typing the monster's name into normal chat. Clicking the NPC only shows you the rules. This is the opposite of Roll the Dice.
How to play
- When a round starts the NPC changes into a monster. Look at it.
- Type the monster's name in chat, for example
Poring. - First correct answer takes the round and its 40 coins.
- Each round lasts 40 seconds. If nobody gets it, the answer is revealed and the next round starts. Five rounds per game.
Two reasons your answer may not register
Stand close to the NPC. It only hears about 14 paces. Answering from the next street does nothing, and you will get no error telling you so.
Unbind your channel. If you have used @channel bind, your messages go to that channel
instead and the NPC never sees them. Type @channel unbind first.
What you need to know
- Spelling must match the monster's name, but capitalisation does not matter and a trailing
!or?is fine. - Only the correct answer is detected, so wrong guesses cost you nothing.
- Five rounds at 40 coins is 200, which is above the 150 daily limit. A perfect sweep is capped by the daily limit, not by the event.
Common mistakes
| What happened | Why | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Typed HIGH or LOW in Dice and got eliminated | Dice is played by clicking the NPC | Click the Dice Caller each round |
| Clicked the Masked Mimic and nothing happened | Disguise is played by typing in chat | Type the monster name |
| Joined Dice, then could not call | An NPC window was still open | Close the window after joining |
| Answered Disguise correctly, no response | Too far away, or a bound channel | Stand closer, or @channel unbind |
| Won but received no coins | Daily limit reached, or inventory full | Free up a slot, or wait for the reset |
| No event at the scheduled time | Too few players online | Nothing to fix, it runs next slot |
