Repeatable EXP Quests

CirrusRO runs the Classic iRO repeatable EXP quest system, a set of field NPCs who reward Base and Job EXP for bringing them monster-drop items or hunting a set number of monsters. They're repeatable, so they make a handy leveling boost alongside normal grinding, and all rewards below are shown at CirrusRO's 5× EXP rate (what you actually receive in-game).

How it works

Each NPC gives you a choice:

  • Collect items: bring the required number of a monster-drop item for a one-time EXP payout, then repeat.
  • Hunt monsters: take a hunt of 50 / 100 / 150 of the related monster. The EXP is the same per monster, so 100 = 2× and 150 = 3× the base reward. Pick the size when you accept. The four quests marked (hunt only) in the table are the exception: they offer a 50-monster hunt only, with no larger sizes and no item option.

A few classic rules to know:

  • Rewards give both Base and Job EXP (not applied to your Rested EXP boost).
  • Hunt kill-counts are shared with party members on your screen: the player who lands the killing blow must be visible to you. Homunculus and Mercenary kills don't count.
  • You can have one hunt active per NPC at a time; giving up a hunt erases its progress, so pick the right size. You also can't run an item turn-in and a hunt from the same NPC at once.
  • Each NPC has a level window: you must be within it to start.

Quest list

Locations are given as map x,y (use /navi in-game). EXP is per completion at 5×: one item turn-in, or a 50-monster hunt. Where a larger hunt is offered, double it for 100 and triple it for 150 (the four (hunt only) quests have no larger sizes).

Item or hunt, your choice

Every quest that lists an item can also be done as a hunt instead: skip the item and just kill the monster shown in parentheses, 50 / 100 / 150 of them for 1× / 2× / 3× the listed EXP. So a rare drop is never a wall, hunt the monster directly for the same reward. The four marked (hunt only) work differently: they have no item option and no larger hunt sizes, just the single 50-monster hunt for the EXP shown.

The two highest windows, and where the monsters actually are

Deadman offers two different hunts, and the second one is easy to miss because you pick it from the same conversation. Loli Ruri pays 996,000 Base, the biggest single repeatable reward on the server, and it is the only quest that runs past level 90, all the way to 98. The catch: Deadman stands on nif_fild01, but Loli Ruri live one map north on nif_fild02, they are level 71 with around 23,000 HP, and there are only about 20 on the map. Disguise, by contrast, are level 55 with ~7,500 HP and there are 50 of them right where Deadman is standing. So Loli Ruri pays far more per kill but each kill is a real fight.

Below 85, Lilla (Dryad, Umbala) is the most reward-per-effort of the high-level quests: Dryads are level 50 with ~8,800 HP and there are 65 on um_fild01, versus 5 Zhu Po Long on lou_dun02. If you are choosing where to grind in the 60-85 band, that spawn count is usually the deciding factor, not the EXP number.

Farmed, not bought

In the original game, a couple of these turn-in items (Antelope Horn, Bill of Birds) were sold over the counter by town vendors. On CirrusRO those vendors no longer stock them: every quest above requires items you actually farm from monsters (or kills you land yourself), so leveling stays earned.
