Coins & Economy

CirrusRO's free-to-play economy runs on Cirrus Coins, a farm-only currency that every player earns just by hunting monsters.

Cirrus Coins

Monsters have a chance to drop Cirrus Coins when defeated. They're account-bound and earned only by playing. How many drop depends on the monster:

Monster Cirrus Coins
Normal 1
Mini-boss 3
MVP / Boss 10 (to the top damage dealer)
  • Only EXP-giving monsters drop coins (not plants, dummies, or WoE structures).
  • A normal monster drops its coin 25% of the time. Mini-bosses use the same 25% chance for a bigger payout; MVPs roll at 50%.
  • Some easy-to-farm monsters drop coins at a reduced rate or not at all, so no single trivial spot becomes a coin farm. The full list is in Monsters with reduced coin drops below.
  • Homunculus solo kills earn nothing. A kill made entirely by your homunculus (you did no damage yourself) earns no coin, so coin farming cannot be left fully AFK. Alchemists: just tag the monster once and the coin is yours as usual.
  • Exchange: 4 Cirrus Coins = 1 Cash Point. This is one-way: coins become points, never the other way around.

Monsters with reduced coin drops

Everything else uses the normal 25% chance. These are the only per-monster exceptions:

No coins at all. Stationary or harvest-tier targets that a geared character kills risk-free. Macros and autopot are allowed here, so these would otherwise be AFK coin mines.

Monster Why
Peco Peco Egg, Thief Bug Egg, Ant Egg stationary, one-shot
Thief Bug, Hydra, Plankton, Tarou dense, zero-risk swarms

Reduced to a 5% chance. One tier up: still a trickle while levelling, not worth mass-farming at 99.

Monster
Familiar, Thief Bug Female, Thief Bug Male, Orc Zombie

Two more rules that need no list:

  • Monsters that give no EXP never drop coins. That covers all plants and mushrooms, Training Dummies, summoned clones, and WoE structures (Emperium, barricades, guardian stones).
  • Job-change test rooms give no coins. Kills inside the job-test maps never roll a coin. Quest drops in those rooms are unaffected, so the trials still work normally.

Sharing coins in a party

Playing support? By default the coin goes to the player with loot priority (the highest total damage), not whoever lands the killing blow, but a party can share it so healers and buffers earn coins too. Set your party to:

  • EXP: Even Share, and
  • Item Sharing Type: Shared

With both on, each coin drop rotates among the party members hunting together instead of always going to the killer. To receive a rotated coin a member must be on the same map and within the even-share level range. You can pick up up to 300 coins per day from other members' kills; coins from your own kills still fill the rest of your daily cap as normal.

Prefer to keep coins to the killer while still sharing EXP? Leave Item Sharing Type on Individual.

Daily coin cap

Everyone earns 600 coins per day for free. You can extend the daily cap with zeny at the Coin Master (Prontera 158,191):

Tier Daily cap Cost
Free 600 -
+1 700 1,500,000 z
+2 800 (max) 1,500,000 z

Cap extensions last that day only: after the daily reset your cap returns to the free 600, so you buy the upgrade again each day you want the higher cap.

The cap resets every day at 00:00 (GMT+8). That's 150 Cash Points/day free, and up to 200/day at max cap when traded to Cash Points.

Attendance coins are on top of the cap. Day 10 of the Daily Attendance track mails you 400 Cirrus Coins, and since the track repeats you earn them again every 20 sign-in days. They do not count against the daily cap.

Where your coins go

  • Cash Point exchange: the Cirrus Coin Exchange (Prontera 160,191) → the Cash Shop (cosmetics + quality-of-life).
  • Cirrus Gears (Prontera 146,191 & 149,191) → stat headgears. Gears I Tier 1 (42 hats) and Gears II (41 hats) are pure coins; Gears I Tier 2 (23 hats) also asks for materials and 100,000z to 1,000,000z on top.
  • Cirrus Consumables (Prontera 152,191) → buff scrolls and potions, pure coins.
  • Cirrus Quartermaster (Prontera 147,174) → weekly-capped boosters and resets, farm-coin-only.
  • Not coins, but the same idea: the Hourly Points Shop (Prontera 147,170) spends time played on manuals, Bubble Gum, siege supplies and costumes. See Classic+ Features.

Donations

You can support the server directly: $1 = 100 Cash Points. Larger donations earn bonus points:

Donate Points Bonus Total
$1 100 - 100
$5 500 50 (+10%) 550
$10 1,000 150 (+15%) 1,150
$25 2,500 500 (+20%) 3,000
$50 5,000 1,250 (+25%) 6,250

Donations are arranged by Discord PM and credited by staff.

No pay-to-win

Cash Points buy cosmetics and quality-of-life only, never stats or power. Because the coin → point exchange is one-way, donated points can never reach stat gear. All stat gear is earned in-game.
